Transport Management System with Excel, VBA & QlikView
The company, named Agrolog, is part of the group
Agromousquetaires.
As said in introduction to this project, this company is only made of field workers.
All the administrative stuff is done by people from another company called AgroM Transport which I was part of when I made this application.
To handle this, the application has been separated in 2 files :
- 1st : transport management Excel file (in the 1st file available for download at the bottom)
- 2nd : billing management Excel file (in the 2nd file available for download at the bottom)
The 1st file is used by the manager of the drivers and allows him to :
- make the previsionnal planning of the deliveries he has to care about
- make the previsionnal planning for his drivers and subcontracting companies
- make the previsionnal planning of the availability of the trucks for maintenance
- make changes on all the plannings when there are new things to handle
- easily keep track of all the data on a daily basis
- register the work done in a database
- send the pre billing to the subcontracting companies
The 2nd file is used by the administrative workers and allows them to :
- store all the prices of the different kinds of deliveries in data tables
- calculate the price of each delivery
- control the bills of the subcontracting companies before sending payments
- add any relevant information if needed for a specific delivery
- make the bills for each customer
- transfer all these data in the group's ERP
Then, these Excel files were connected with the software QlikView (BI tool similar to Tableau or Power BI).
This software helped to manage these bigs data sets in a fast and efficient way.
It also automated the generation of new charts and made the following of the main KPIs very smooth.
